After returning to his own future, Trunks defeats Android 18. She is recorded as a separate character from the present Android 18.
Trunks kills the Cell from his own future timeline when Cell appears to steal the time machine.
A blast from the regenerated Cell pierces Trunks. Although he is from the future, the event takes place in the main timeline.
Trunks is revived by Shenron's wish to bring back those killed by Cell. He opens his eyes in Chapter 417 and later speaks at the Lookout. Although he comes from the future, the revival takes place in the present. He is not included in the island residents, Royal Defense Force, Ginger Town residents and investigators or reporters, or the groups from towns attacked after Cell left Ginger Town.
